Who we are

AT USE (at-use.com) provides free online tools for image conversion and optimization, video workflows, subtitle workflows, and network diagnostics.

Scope of this policy

This policy applies to data processed on at-use.com, including public pages, tool pages, APIs used by those tools, and our contact form.

Information we collect

1) Data you provide directly

If you use the contact form, we collect your name, email address, message, timestamp, and source IP address so we can respond and manage abuse.

2) Technical and usage data

We collect technical events needed to operate and improve the service, such as page opens, tool starts/success/errors, request path, status code, response time, and coarse browser/OS type.

Our internal event logs do not store raw user IP addresses. We store a daily rotating hash derived from your IP address and a server secret.

3) Cookies and similar identifiers

We use cookies including:

How tool processing works

AT USE tools use different processing models:

Because processing paths differ by tool, avoid uploading sensitive personal data unless necessary for your intended use.

How we use information

We use data to:

Third-party services

We use third-party services including Google Analytics and Google AdSense. These providers may process device and usage data according to their own policies and terms. We may also rely on hosting/infrastructure providers to deliver the service.

Data retention

Data sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share data only with service providers/processors needed to run the website, provide analytics/ads, secure systems, or comply with legal obligations.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational controls (access controls, validation, logging safeguards, and restricted storage paths). No internet service is 100% secure, so please avoid sending highly sensitive information through public tools.

International processing

Your data may be processed in jurisdictions other than your own, including by third-party providers such as Google, subject to their applicable safeguards.

GDPR and CCPA rights

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) governs how we process your personal data. If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) provides additional protections.

Your rights under GDPR include: the right to access personal data we hold about you; the right to have inaccurate data corrected; the right to request deletion where we have no ongoing legal basis to retain the data; the right to restrict or object to certain types of processing; and the right to data portability for data you have provided. Our primary lawful bases for processing are legitimate interest (operating and securing the service, detecting abuse) and, for third-party analytics and advertising, your consent via browser and ad settings.

Your rights under CCPA include: the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used; the right to request deletion of personal information; and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. AT USE does not sell personal data to third parties.

To exercise any of these rights, use the contact form and describe your request. We will respond within 30 calendar days for GDPR requests and within 45 calendar days for CCPA requests, as required by applicable law.

Your choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain personal data, and to object to some processing. You can also control cookies through your browser settings and ad settings provided by Google.

Children

The service is not directed to children under 13 (or higher age where required by local law). If you believe a child submitted personal data, contact us and we will review and remove it where appropriate.

Policy updates

We may update this policy as tools, integrations, and legal requirements evolve. The latest version is always published on this page with an updated date.
